Favorite song(s) you sing in the Cabaret Series: I loved singing “Become” in or last show, but I always love singing our encore “Rolling in the Deep” by Adele.
Nickname? D or D-lo
Where were you born and raised? I was born in Rhode Island, but I say that I was bred in Northern Minnesota. That’s where I spent my formative years.
Last book you read? The Hunger Games Trilogy
Last good movie you saw? The Artist
Favorite song to sing (not necessarily from the Cabaret Series)? “Ten Minutes Ago” from the musical Cinderella
Favorite guilty pleasure song? Gospel music. Guilty because I am not a regular church goer and feel like I can’t claim it as my own, but I love it.
Favorite guilty pleasure activity? Going to the movies. I do it a lot.
Show that earned you your equity card? Harriet Jacobs adapted from a novel of the same title by Lydia Diamond, produced by Central Square Theatre actually, which starred Kami Smith and was directed by Megan Sandberg-Zakien
Favorite pre/post show meal? Eggs. Digests quickly.
Favorite liquid refreshment? Coffee. Not that refreshing, but it’s stimulating. Lol.
Worst job you ever had? Working fast food. My first job was a Burger King. Ugh.
Leading man role you wish you could play? I would love to play Hamlet some day. Such a challenge, but rewarding I hope.
What is your “day job”? I work for ArtsBoston a nonprofit arts service organization.
How often do you prepare your own meals? Barely these days. I keep myself way too busy to go grocery shopping. Gotta change that.
How much do you spend on a haircut? I cut my own hair. So it’s free!
When’s bedtime? Too late. Usually 1am. 🙁
Morning, afternoon, or evening person? Mid-morning
Who is your mortal enemy? Fate. Lol.
Where do you go to be alone? The movie theatre
What is the sound you love? Laughter
What is the sound you hate? The moment before an excuse is about to be spoken
What profession, other than your own would you like to attempt? Writing in some capacity
What profession would you not want to attempt? Politics. It’s just uninspired theatre with a lot more only involved.
